8xSerial Wide Module

The 8xSerial Wide Module (see Figure 17) provides eight serial interfaces. Refer to Table A-7 on page 45 for

the serial interface pinouts.

8xSerial Interfaces

• DTE operation only; no internal clock provided

• Clocking up to 10 Mbps for each interface

• Supported Standards: ISO 4903 (X.21), CCITT V.35 Synchronous (V.35)

• Provides eight V.35 of X.21 (V.11) electrical interfaces; additional adapter cables are available for

purchase to provide the V.35 DTE (J8757A) and X.21 DTE (J8755A) interfaces

• Connector: 25-pin smart serial (DTE) connector

Cable length for the 8xSerial Wide Module should not exceed 25 feet.
