Use the description command as a comment line to enter an identifier for the specified interface (for
example, circuit ID, contact information, etc.).
Syntax Description
Limited to 80 alphanumeric characters.
Default Values
No defaults required for this command.
Command Modes
Any Configuration Mode.
Usage Examples
The following example enters comment information using the description command:
(config)#interface t1 1/1
(config-t1 1/1)#description This is the Dallas office T1
