backup force <state>
Use the backup force command to manually override the automatic backup feature. This can be used to
force a link into backup to allow maintenance to be performed on the primary link without disrupting data.
Use the no form of this command to return to the normal backup operation state.
Syntax Description
<state> Selects the forced backup state of the sub-link.
backup Force backup regardless of primary link state
primary Force primary link regardless of its state
Default Values
By default, this feature is disabled.
Command Modes
(config-fr 1.16)# Virtual Frame Relay Sub-Interface Configuration Mode required
Usage Examples
The following configures the Secure Router OS to force this endpoint into backup:
(config)#interface fr 1.16
(config-fr 1.16)#backup force backup
