erase [<filename> | startup-config]
Use the erase command to erase the specified file.
Syntax Description
<filename>
Specifies the name of the file (located in FLASH memory) to erase.
startup-config Erases the startup configuration file stored in NVRAM.
Default Values
No default value necessary for this command.
Command Modes

Usage Examples
The following example erases the startup configuration file stored in NVRAM:
>enable
#erase startup-config
If a new startup-configuration file is not specified before power-cycling the unit, the Secure Router OS will
initialize using a default configuration.
