Many wireless devices have configuration utilities that allows the device to have network locations for several wireless networks. In order to be authenticated and allowed to use a network, a device must supply a known password to other devices on the network. If the device cannot supply the correct password, then it will not be able to use other devices on the network.

However, the personal firewall might block communication between the computer and the printer. If you cannot communicate with the printer, try disabling the personal firewall.
