The HP Smart Array P812/1G Flash Backed Cache Controller has the
ability to support 8 internal drives on the DL360 G7 as well as external storage
solutions. For use with the internal 8 drives the Mini-SAS to Mini-SAS, 25.50"
& 28.00" option kit (PN: 496013-B21) is required.

HP Chipset SATA Cable Kit
NOTE:
This cable allows for connection of Chipset SATA to 1 SATA HD in the
drive cage. This solution allows for disabling the embedded storage controller.
Qty of 1 HD blanks may need to be ordered/installed when using this solution
(503771-B21) to ensure all bays are populated with HDs or blanks. There is
no support for optical media. There is no support for HD LED or thermal
management when this solution is deployed. Only supported on non Hot Plug
SFF Hard Drives configurations. Hot Plug is not supported. Loss of HD
support for all drives bays except for the 1 deployed in this configuration.
VMWare (ESX3.5/i ) is not supported in this configuration.
