Command Reference
check-term
Purpose Use the check-term command to set the period for checking Netstream traffic and
IP traffic of the interfaces.
Use the undo check-term command to restore the default checking period.
Syntax check-term seconds
undo check-term seconds
Parameters seconds
Period for checking Netstream traffic and IP traffic of
the interfaces. Valid values are 1 to 9 seconds.
If no value is specified, 3 seconds is the default
checking period.
Example Set the checking period to 5 seconds.

[3Com] rcrlocal
[3Com-rcrlocal] check-term 5
Restore the default checking period.
<3Com> system-view
[3Com] rcrlocal
[3Com-rcrlocal] undo check-term
View This command can be used in the following views:
Rcrlocal view
Description If the checking period is too long, the real time traffic statistics may not be accurate
enough. If the checking period is too short, statistics on some data streams with a
relatively long packet transfer time interval may not be accurate, and too frequent
monitoring adds burden to the system. You are recommended to use the default
value of 3 seconds.
