Command Reference
idle-timeout
Purpose Use the idle-timeout command to set the idle-timeout timer. When it expires,
the user connection is disconnected.
Use the undo idle-timeout command to restore the default.
Syntax idle-timeout minutes [ seconds ]
undo idle-timeout
Parameters minutes
Number of minutes. Valid values are 0 to 35791.
seconds
Number of seconds. Valid values are 0 to 59.
Default The default idle-timeout is 10 minutes.
Example Set the idle-timeout timer to 1 minute and 30 seconds.

View This command can be used in the following views:

Description Setting idle-timeout to zero disables the timer and the connection is maintained
regardless of whether it is idle.
