DIMM installation guidelines:
1. All DIMMs must be PC2-5300 Fully Buffered DIMMs at 667 MHz.
2. Both DIMM slots in a memory bank must be populated.
3. Banks must be populated in sequential alphabetic order, starting with bank A.
4. Both DIMMs in a memory bank must be identical. Install identical DIMMs as pairs only, starting with DIMM socket
1, bank A.
5. Multiple advanced memory protection (AMP) modes are supported, based on FBDIMM population and RBSU
selection. The blade workstation defaults to Advanced ECC

2048 MB (2 x 1024 MB) of PC2-5300, FBD DDR2-667 ECC DIMMs
Standard Memory Plus Optional Memory
Up to 51200 MB of PC2-5300, FBD DDR2-667 ECC DIMMs. Memory is available with the installation of optional PC2-
5300, FBD DDR2-667 DIMM memory expansion kits.
Standard Memory Replaced with Optional Memory
Up to 65536-MB of PC2-5300, FBD DDR2 FBD-667 ECC DIMMs. Memory is available with removal of standard and the
installation of optional PC2-5300, FBD DDR2-667 DIMM memory expansion kits.
