Figure 3 shows a typical Enterprise Virtual Array 6000 SAN topology:
The HSV200 controllers connect via two host ports (FP1 and FP2) to the Fibre Channel fabrics.
The hos
ts that will access the storage system are c onnected to the sam e fabrics.
HP Command View EVA, which runs on the storage management ser ver, also connects to both
fabrics.
The controllers connect through one loop pair to the drive enclosures. The loop pair consists of
two independent loops, each capable of managing all the disks should one loop fail. Two FC
loop s
witches are used to connect the controllers to the d isk enclosures.
