those specied herein.
Allow only HP authorized service technicians to repair the laser device.
Compliance with CDRH regulations
The Center for Devices and Radiological H e alth (CD R H ) of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration
implemented regulations for laser products on August 2, 1976. These regulations apply to laser products
manufactured from August 1, 1976. Compliance is mandatory for products marketed in the United States.
Certication and classication information
This product contains a laser internal to the O p tical Link Module (OLM) for connection to the Fibre
communications port.
In the USA, the O LM is certied as a Class 1 laser product conforming to the requirem ents contained in
the Department of Health and Hum a n Services (D H HS) regulation 21 CFR, S ubchapter J. The c ertication
is indicated by a label on the plastic OLM housing.
Outside the USA, the OLM is certied as a Class 1 laser product conforming to the requirements
contained in I EC 825-1:1993 and EN 60825-1:1994, including Amendment 11:1996.

Class A equipment
