6.16 Removing a Virtual Copy
To remove a virtual copy from the InServ Storage Server and the Recovery Manager repository,
the virtual copy timestamp must have a status of Available. To remove a virtual copy, use one
of the methods described below:
1 Right-click on the virtual copy timestamp node and select Remove.
2 Click on the Remove icon in the toolbar.
3 Select Remove from the Actions drop-down menu on the menu bar.
Result: The virtual copy will be removed from both InServ Storage Server and the Recovery
Manager repository.
NOTE: A virtual copy cannot be removed if it is mounted on a host server.
NOTE: If the Backup server has a mixture of instance level snapshots and database
level snapshots within the same instance, user is expected to see out-of-sync VV
list caused by the snapshots taken at different level.
