6.14 Restoring an Instance or Database from Virtual Copy Using File
Copy
Once a virtual copy is created, the Restore copy option is enabled in the timestamp node and
virtual copies can be restored to their original location.
To restore from a virtual copy:
1 Locate the virtual copy timestamp node you wish to restore under Virtual Copy
Management in the left pane node tree, then select Restore using one of the following
methods:
a Right-click on the virtual copy timestamp node and select Restore Using->File Copy.
b Click on the File Copy Restore icon in the tool bar.
c Select Restore Using->File Copy from the Actions drop-down menu on the menu bar.
NOTE: You can manually set the cluster resource to the maintenance mode,
remove LUNs exported to all cluster hosts, and promote the virtual copy to its
parent base volume with the InForm CLI commands. For more information, see
the 3PAR InForm OS CLI Administrator’s Manual.
