SQL Connectivity Test

2 In the Connect to Server window, enter or select the following:
Server type: Database Engine
Server name: enter the
<SQLserverName>\<instanceName>
Authentication: Windows Authentication
For the default instance, enter the name of your SQL server. For example:
Server name:
<SQLserverName>
For named instance, enter the name of your SQL server and the name of your SQL instance.
For example:
Server name:
<SQLserverName>\<instanceName>
