Managing Server Tasks Using the OSD
You can manage the IP Console Switch system from the Commands menu with the
OSD, including engaging Scan and Broadcast modes, managing user connections,
running diagnostics, and updating your firmware.
Table 6-5: Commands to Manage Routine Task for your Servers
Feature Purpose
Broadcast Enable Begin broadcasting to your servers.
Configure a server list for
broadcasting under the Setup
dialog box.
Scan Enable Begin scanning your servers. Set up
a list for scanning in the Setup
dialog box.
User Status View and disconnect users.
Run Diagnostics Validate the integrity of your system,
including memory, firmware cyclic
redundant checks (CRC), comm
interfaces, switch controller, local
and remote video, and
Interface Adapters.
Interface Adapter Status Simultaneously upgrade multiple
Interface Adapters.
Reset PS/2 Reestablish operation of PS/2
keyboard and mouse
Display Versions View version information for the
console switch, as well as view and
upgrade firmware for individual
Interface Adapters.
