Directory Settings (Directory Server) screen
This screen enables Administrators to set up an LDAP server to authenticate users accessing the CLI or GUI
based on user name, password, and role. Beginning with version 1.31 of Virtual Connect Manager, users
can test an LDAP configuration before applying it. For more information, see "Test LDAP authentication
(on page 39)."
The following table describes the fields within the Directory Settings (Directory Server) screen.
Field Description
Enable LDAP Authentication Select to enable LDAP authentication.
Directory Server Address The IP address or the DNS name of the domain of the directory service
Directory Server SSL Port The port used for LDAP communications. The default port is port 636.
Search Context 1
First searchable path used to locate the user when the user is trying to
authenticate using directory services
Search Context 2
Second searchable path used to locate the user when the user is trying to
authenticate using directory services
Search Context 3
Third searchable path used to locate the user when the user is trying to
authenticate using directory services
Use NT Account Name
Mapping

Select to use NT account name mapping.
