Customer Return Warranty Service
If instructed to send your HP Hardware Product,
components, or any item to HP you will be issued a Return
to Manufacture Authorization number (RMA). You must
clearly mark your RMA number on any return packaging,
and follow any additional shipping information HP provides.
Any item sent to HP without a valid RMA number will be
returned unopened at senders cost. You must return
components, computers, and individual components in its
original packaging. If you are unable to do so, this may
void some or all of any warranties you have with HP
pertaining to this system.
Items shipped to HP must be insured for the full value of the
item, any damage to items in shipping, must be preceded
with a freight claim. Any uninsured components or systems
returned to HP may potentially result in a charge to your
account for the value of the item if it has been damaged
during shipping.
RMA numbers are valid for 30 days from the date of issue,
and if you are unable to send your item within this time
period, you must contact HP for a new or extended
RMA number.
Should you need to replace a defective part under this
Limited Warranty, HP will provide you with the option of
either an Advanced RMA or a Standard RMA.
Advanced RMA
Under the Advanced RMA, HP will ship to you the
replacement part(s) determined by HP technicians to be the
cause of malfunction prior to receiving the defective part. In
order to do this, HP will need to secure the product with a
valid credit card number. You will have 30 days from the
date your RMA number is issued to you to return the
defective product. Failure to do so will result in HP charging
your credit card the full price of the replacement part and
any shipping costs that may apply. A replacement part that
is issued to the customer under an Advanced RMA is subject
to the same shipping and replacement charges as outlined
in this policy.
Standard RMA
Under the standard RMA you are required to return your
defective part before HP can issue a replacement part. In the
event that the part returned is found to be a working product
it will be returned as is at HP’s expense.
Shipping Information
Shipping charges incurred as the result of a claim under this
Limited Warranty is your responsibility, unless you have
purchased an HP upgrade package from HP specifically for
this system.
In the event that a component or system needs to be
returned to HP under this Limited Warranty and is not
covered by an HP upgrade policy, you may be charged a
two way flat-rate fee for shipping.
You should make shipping arrangements for pickup at your
convenience, and HP will contact you and make shipping
arrangements when your system is ready to be returned.

Options and Software
Limited Warranties
The Limited Warranty terms and conditions for most
HP-branded options (HP Options) are as set forth in the
Limited Warranty applicable to the HP Option and are
included in the HP Option product packaging. If your
HP Option is installed in an HP Hardware Product, HP may
provide warranty service for either the period specified in
the warranty documents (HP Option Limited Warranty
Period) that shipped with the HP Option or for the remaining
warranty period of the HP Hardware Product in which the
HP Option is being installed, whichever period is the longer,
but not to exceed three (3) years from the date you
purchased the HP Option. The HP Option Limited Warranty
Period starts from the date of purchase from HP or an
HP authorized reseller. Your dated sales or delivery receipt,
showing the date of purchase of the HP Option, is your
warranty start date. See your HP Option Limited Warranty
for more details. Non-HP options are provided “AS IS.”
However, non-HP manufacturers and suppliers may provide
warranties directly to you.
