THE PLAN SUCCEEDS: DPC PLOT24 PRINTS FASTER
WITH HP DESIGNJET T7100
Printing increasingly large print jobs within ever
shorter times for the construction industry is the
daily challenge for DPC Plot24 AG. In order to
overcome this challenge, the printing service
provider that operates throughout Switzerland has
become one of the first companies to install two of
the new HP Designjet T7100 large format printers.
“Our customers are professionals in the
construction industry and expect us to produce
plots that are just as professional,” says Ralph
Lehmann, owner of DPC Plot24. “We want to offer
the best and fastest solution to every customer and
for every order. To do so, we always need the
fastest and most efficient printers on the market.
Thirty employees at six different locations in
Switzerland provide support for a large number
of customers. These include principals, investors,
general contractors, and planning agents such
as architects, civil engineers and professional
planners. DPC Plot24 print plans in all sizes from
A4/A to A0/E and delivers them throughout
Switzerland, even directly to the construction site
if necessary.
Lehmann says: “The trend is moving towards
master agreements with general contractors whose
partners all have their plans printed by us for
the duration of a project or for a certain contract
period.” Approximately 40 per cent of the orders
nowadays arrive at the company through internet
based project platforms, or “virtual project rooms.
With Dcpnet, Plotnet, and the project room C24,
the Swiss have even set up three systems of this
nature themselves for planning teams. “Customers
who order plots via these online platforms are
entitled to expect prompt delivery of their plans,
says Lehmann.
DPC Plot24 guarantees its customers delivery
of standard printouts within four hours of
order receipt. “Plot service nowadays is an
hour-by-hour business,” explains Lehmann.
“Speed and performance capability are essential
today in order to assert your position on the
market. Fluctuations in the utilisation of capacity
are a big problem here. We have to be able to
produce large quantities at very short notice.
