The following instructions and information will help you to get the most out of your new machine... Washcare tips and a simple step by step guide to using your machine. Guidance on getting the most out of your wash using powders, liquids, tablets and fabric conditioners. Select a programme for any wash including automatic functions, pre-washes, economy loads, variable temperature and spin speeds.
Safety first SAFETY This instruction manual contains important details on using your machine safely. Please keep it safe for your future reference. If you pass the machine onto someone else, please make sure that you give them this manual so that the new owner can read these safety warnings. ✔ ✘ ● Dispose of packaging materials carefully and keep them well away from children. ● Do not plug your machine into a socket when your hands are wet.
Remove the polystyrene block... After removing the packaging from the machine, make sure that the polystyrene block (figure 1) has come away from the underside of the machine, with the polystyrene base. figure 1 INSTALLING YOUR MACHINE If it has not come away, carefully lay the machine on its side onto the polystyrene top cap and then remove the polystyrene block (see figure 2). You may need a second person to help you lower and raise the machine.
2. Remove the transit fixings... INSTALLING YOUR MACHINE Location of transit bolts. Firstly, unhook the grey drainage hose and proceed as follows, taking care not to loosen the hot and cold water fill hoses. WARNINGS: ● Before you use the machine, remove the two transit bolts complete with spacers. If you do not do this, damage may occur to your machine. Keep the parts in case you need them for future transportation.
3. Connect your machine to the electricity supply Changing the plug If you need to change your plug if it does not fit your socket; isolate the machine from the mains supply. Cut off the supplied plug and safely dispose of the discarded plug. Note: If you change the plug, the colour of wires in the mains lead may not match the colour of the markings which show the different terminals in the plug. You must wire it as shown below.
INSTALLING YOUR MACHINE 4. Connect your machine to the water supply... WARNINGS: ● The temperature of your hot water supply should ideally be 60°C and no higher than 70°C as this could cause damage to your laundry and the machine. ● Do not connect the machine to a single outlet instantaneous water heater. cold water supply figure 3 8 ● Your hot and cold water pressure should be between 3 and 150 psi (21 - 1034 kPa). ● The water supply taps should be accessible when the machine is installed.
5.Connect the machine to a drainage system... Cut off end figure 3 Hose clip Under sink waste system 1 Cut out the membrane, bung or blanking plug (see figure 2). 2 Unclip the drainage hose from the back of the machine. 3 Move the hooked end support along the drainage hose as required. 4 Attach the drainage hose securely to the under sink drainage unit, using a hose clip (see figure 3). 5 Raise the hooked end support up to at least 800mm to avoid water being drawn back into the machine.
INSTALLING YOUR MACHINE 6. Move the machine into position... WARNING: ● Do not drag or lift the machine by it’s door. Your machine is heavy so care must be taken when moving it. To help you we have fitted wheels to the bottom rear of the machine. ● ● Please take care not to damage any floor coverings when moving the machine. When moving the machine, take care not to kink or damage the hoses at the back of machine. 7.Adjust the feet...
Using your machine The rest of this instruction book will help you to make the most of your new washing machine. We have created the machine for the way you live, by listening to people just like you who use our products. You will find that your new machine has many useful features and is easy to use. Washcare tips... ● Your machine can wash a maximum load of 6kg (cotton). ● Do not overload the machine (maximum load 6kg).
A typical wash programme A TYPICAL WASH PROGRAMME 1 12 WARNINGS: ● Do not allow children to play with the machine or tamper with the controls. This machine has a Child Lock feature, which when activated disables all controls (see ‘Options’). ● Do not overload the machine! It may damage laundry and reduce the quality of the wash. ● Do not try to open the door during the wash programme. ● Do not open the dispenser drawer during any programme.
The dispenser If you wish to use liquid detergent: We recommend the use of a detergent ball as provided by your detergent manufacturer. Alternatively you can obtain a liquid detergent flap for the dispenser drawer - contact Genuine Parts and Accessories (see Key Contacts, back page). Drawer release latch Prewash detergent compartment. Maximum 200ml powder or 100ml liquid. Main detergent compartment. Maximum 400ml powder or 200ml liquid. Grate THE DISPENSER Fabric conditioner compartment.
WARNING: ● Do not put any item(s) into the drawer other than detergents that are designed to be released from the drawer as they may cause damage or blockage. Dispensing powder detergent To achieve the best wash results the manufacturer’s recommended amount of detergent should be measured and added to the main detergent compartment (II symbol) (max. 400ml). Dispensing liquid detergent We recommend the use of a detergent dosing ball, as provided by your detergent manufacturer.
Wash programmes Programme selection buttons ‘Cancel/Stop’ button ‘Start’ button Progress indicators ● To pause a programme Press the ‘Cancel/Stop’ button once. The ‘Start’ progress status light will flash to indicate the selected programme is paused. To continue press the ‘Start’ button. ● To change a programme Press the ‘Cancel/Stop’ button once. The ‘Start’ progress status light will flash to indicate the selected programme is paused.
Wash programmes To select a programme to suit your individual requirements use the following series of tables, explaining the wash programme buttons and programme details. The programmes have been listed by Fabric Type. The programme times ‘Time to End’... For each wash programme and option(s) selected the machine automatically calculates the estimated programme length ‘Time to End’. This is displayed in hours and minutes shortly after the wash programme temperature has been displayed.

Favorite Programme ● This option allows you to store your favorite programme for when you next want to use it. Only one programme can be stored in this function.
Options Option buttons Any of the following optional wash features can be selected after the wash programme selection, with the exception of ‘Fast Forward’, which can only be activated after the wash programme has started. PROGRAMMES & OPTIONS To choose an optional wash feature, press the option button once or in some cases scroll through the options given in the display window. How Dirty ● This option allows the washing machine to take into account how dirty the washing is.
Options Option buttons Rinse Hold ● This option holds clothes in the final rinse water, keeping them fresh until you are ready to complete the programme To use this option press the ‘Rinse Hold’ button once, illuminates in the display window above the ‘Rinse Hold’ option button. Complete the final spin by pressing the ‘Rinse Hold’ button again when the symbol is flashing. This option is not available with Wool, Handwash and the Spin only programmes.
Options The following options can be selected to alter the nature of the chosen wash programme by changing the spin speed, number of rinses or the programme temperature. To choose a control option press the option button and scroll through the option menu’s, following the display window prompts. If the options is not available with a particular wash programme the machine will bleep 3 times. Variable Spin ● This control option can only be used to reduce the spin speed of the selected programme.
Cleaning and maintenance WARNINGS: ● Do not clean any part of your machine with abrasive cleaners, scouring agents, acids, chlorine based bleach or metal polish as they may cause damage. ● Do not try to clean any part of the dispenser drawer while the machine is working. Removing and cleaning the dispenser drawer and compartments Note: You should clean the dispenser drawer regularly. 1 2 Pull the dispenser drawer out until it reaches its stop.
Troubleshooting... In the unlikely event that you have problems with your machine, the following guide may help you to get your machine working correctly straight away. .. The machine will not start... ● Close the door. Check that the machine has power. Choose a programme and press the ‘START’ button. Check to see if a ‘Red Keyhole’ symbol is flashing in the display window, if so, see below. If it is not, check to see: i) If ‘Time Delay’ has been selected. ii) The machine is plugged in and is switched ‘On’.
Troubleshooting... The ‘Time to End’ display jumps... ● The estimated programme times are dependant on the temperature and pressure of the incoming water supply, the option(s) selected and the load being washed. They may, therefore change during the fill stages of each programme to take into account the extra heating or fill time required. The programme takes a long time... ● Some programmes do take a long time.
