N HOW TO USE THE HOB y C The burner flames can be adjusted by turning the knobs on the control panel. The symbols on these knobs mean: x : gas line turned off (burner flame out) tap completely open (maximum gas flow æ : gas for cooking and broiling) æ: gas tap partially open for heating and warming. Important! The knob must always be at a position between (maximum flow rate) and (minimum flow rate). æ æ Never turn the knob to a position between (maximum flow) and x (shut-off).
N C HOW TO USE THE HIGH-SPEED HOTPLATE HIGH-SPEED HOTPLATE This hotplate can be used to start cooking very quickly. Note: The yellow indicator light remains on all the time the hotplate is on. Position the control knob as required: 1. For cooking and reheating: position “5” or “6”. 2. For roasting: position “4”. 3. To finish cooking: position “2” or “3”. 4. To finish cooking and keeping food warm: position “1”. 5. To switch off: position “0”. x Turn the knob to a higher or lower position, as necessary.
N HOW TO USE THE OVEN Side racks The oven has two removable side racks which allow for four different oven-loading positions. They provide support for the drip tray, baking tray and/or grid which slide between the two guides on either side of the oven, at the same height. When you fit the tray or grid take care to position it correctly so that it is horizontal. To choose the best oven position, refer to the baking and grilling tables.
N C HOW TO USE THE OVEN x Slide the required grid or tray into the guides. Fan-assisted convection system The air is drawn in through openings in the rear wall of the oven and then heated before it is circulated in the oven chamber. The fan-assisted convection ensures even distribution of the heat inside the oven and allows food to be cooked simultaneously on three different oven levels.
y N HOW TO USE THE OVEN C Switching on and off  ΠTo switch on the oven, turn the oven function knob and the thermostat knob to the required positions. Â Þ Å COOKING AND ROASTING WITH HEAT FROM ABOVE AND BELOW This oven function is particularly suitable for baking cakes and other foods that require more heat from below (e.g. fruit flans, pizza), but it is also suitable for roasts and poultry. y N HOW TO USE THE OVEN Y DEFROSTING FROZEN FOODS This is particularly useful for defrosting frozen foods quickly. The time it takes depends on the size and type of food concerned. N C HOW TO USE THE OVEN m GENTLE REHEATING OR KEEPING DISHES WARM This oven function is particularly suitable for keeping food warm after it has been cooked, or for slowly reheating cooked food. y N HOW TO USE THE OVEN C Conventional grilling Very important note: The oven door must always be left slightly ajar. Fit the heat screen (provided with the accessories) to protect the control panel from the heat escaping from the oven. W Turn on the grill by positioning the oven function selector on and select the required temperature setting with the thermostat control. Preheat the oven for five minutes with the door ajar.
N C CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE x Never use sharp objects or scouring powder. ENAMELLED COMPONENTS AND HOB GRIDDLE x x Clean with a sponge and soapy water, then dry with a soft cloth. Remove acid stains (lemon juice, tomato concentrate, vinegar) immediately. PAINTED PARTS x Clean with a soft cloth and soap, then dry with a soft cloth. BURNERS AND RACKS x x Remove burners and racks before cleaning them with a proprietary product. After cleaning, replace items carefully.
N CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE y C GRILL HEATING ELEMENT x This is self-cleaning. SLIDING SHELVES x Remove for careful cleaning. OVEN DOOR x The internal glass of the oven door may be removed for cleaning by unscrewing the two fastening screws as shown in the figure below. REPLACING THE OVEN LIGHT 1. Disconnect the appliance from the mains (e.g. by removing the main fuses). 2. Unscrew the light cover. 3. Change the bulb. 4. Replace the light cover and re-tighten the screws.
N C CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE DISMANTLING THE DOOR Please operate as follows: x Open the door completely. x The swivel retainers of the rh and lh hinges are hooked onto the metal bar above them. x Lift the oven door slightly. The notch on the bottom of the hinge will disengage. x Now pull the oven door forwards off the appliance. Release both hinge sections from the slots. DOOR ASSEMBLY x Grip the door (as indicated in figure) and refit it in reverse order of removing procedure.
N TROUBLE-SHOOTING GUIDE y C 1. The hob burners will not light. Check: x that the burner covers are correctly positioned. 2. The hotplate does not work. Check: x that the corresponding control knob has been set to the required temperature; x whether there is a power cut. 3. The oven does not work. Check: x that the oven function knob has been set to the required position; x that the thermostat control has been set to the required position; x whether there is a power cut. 4. The oven light does not work.
N C INSTALLATION GENERAL INFORMATION 1. EC markings are in compliance with the following EEC Directives: x 90/683; 73/23 (Low Voltage) and later amendments; x 89/336 (Electromagnetic compatibility) and amendments; x 90/396 (Gas appliances), 93/68 (General Directives) and later amendments. 2. The cooker may only be installed by a qualified engineer in compliance with local regulations and the Manufacturer’s instructions. 3. Remove all external and internal packing material. 4.
y N INSTALLATION C INSTALLATION SITE The room in which the cooking range is to be installed must have a sufficient air supply for combustion of gases (2 m3/h x kW). The air input must be directed through one or more vents in the outer walls with a minimum of 100 cm2 cross-section. These vents must be located near the floor, and preferably opposite the combustion gas exhaust. They must be built so as to prevent them from being closed from inside or outside.
N C INSTALLATION CONNECTION TO THE GAS SUPPLY The cooking range is supplied ready to function with the gas indicated on the appliance by means of a label. It may sometimes be necessary to change from one type of gas to another! Proceed as follows, whatever the cooker gas type: Operations to be performed: 1) 2) 3) 4) connect the cooker to the gas mains; replace the nozzles; adjust the air intake; adjust the flow rate.
y N INSTALLATION C Gas connection with pipe fitting The fitting assembly (Fig. 6) consists of a fitting “B” for G 30/G 31, a fitting “C” for G 20 and a gasket “D”. Natural gas G 20 The connection is by a flexible pipe, a gas fitting “C” and a gasket “D” (Fig. 6). The pipe must have an internal diameter of 15 mm, and be sufficiently tightened to be kept in place by the pipe clamp (not supplied). This pipe must be replaced before its expiry date.
N C INSTALLATION REPLACING BURNER NOZZLES C x Lift the cover to replace the nozzles; then proceed as follows: 1. Lift cover C and remove. B B D 2. Loosen hinge screws B. 3. Remove the rack and burners from the hob. 4. Pull the hob forward and then lift up to release it (arrow D). 5. Keep the hob raised using a prop. How to replace the burner nozzles 1. y N INSTALLATION C ACCESS Hob burners 1. Please consult the “Replacement of burner nozzles” section. 2. After the cooker is connected according to the gas type, check its operation and affix a sticker indicating the gas used. This sticker must be affixed to the gas fitting. Remember to remove the old sticker! 3. Only a qualified engineer should grease taps. 4. If you have any problems, contact our After-Sales Service.
N C COOKING TABLES The cooking times indicated are approximate; the temperature can be increased or decreased depending on the starting temperature of the food to be cooked, its size, etc. First set the lower temperature indicated, then the higher one if necessary.
