Installation
!Beforeplacingyournewapplianceintooperationpleaseread
these operating instructions carefully. They contain important
informationfor safe use, for installationandfor care of the
appliance.
!Pleasekeeptheseoperatinginstructionsforfuturereference.

Positioning and connection
Positioning
1.Placetheapplianceinawell-ventilatedhumidity-freeroom.
2.Donot obstruct the rear fan grills. The compressor and
condensergiveoffheatandrequiregoodventilationtooperate
correctlyandsaveenergy.
3.Ensuretheapplianceisawayfromanysourcesofheat(direct
sunlight,electricstove,etc.).
Electrical connections
Afterthe appliance has been transported,carefully place it
verticallyandwaitatleast 3 hours beforeconnectingittothe
electricitymains.Beforeinsertingtheplugintotheelectricalsocket
ensurethefollowing:
• Theapplianceisearthedandtheplugiscompliantwiththelaw.
• Thesocketcanwithstandthemaximumpoweroftheappliance,
whichisindicatedonthedataplatelocatedonthebottomleft
sideofthefridge(e.g.150W).
• Thevoltagemustbeintherangebetweenthevaluesindicated
onthedataplatelocatedonthebottomleftside(e.g.220-
240V).
• Thesocket is compatible with the plug of the appliance. If
thesocketisincompatiblewiththeplug,askanauthorised
techniciantoreplaceit(see Assistance).Donotuseextension
cordsormultiplesockets.
!Oncetheappliancehasbeeninstalled,thepowersupplycable
andtheelectricalsocketmustbeeasilyaccessible.
!Thecablemustnotbebentorcompressed.
!Thecablemustbecheckedregularlyandreplacedbyauthorised
techniciansonly(seeAssistance).
! The manufacturer declines any liability shouldthese safety
measuresnotbeobserved.
Start-up and use
Starting the appliance
! Before starting the appliance, follow the installation
instructions (see Installation).
!Beforeconnectingtheappliance,cleanthecompartmentsand
accessorieswellwithlukewarmwaterandbicarbonate.
1. Inserttheplugintothesocketandensurethattheinternallight
illuminates.
2. TurntheTEMPERATUREADJUSTMENTknobtoanaverage
value.Afterafew hours youwillbeableto put foodinthe
refrigerator.
Setting the temperature
Thetemperatureinsidetherefrigeratorcompartmentautomatically
adjustsitselfaccordingtothepositionofthethermostatknob.
=warmest
=coldest
Werecommend,however,amediumposition.
Thecoolingsectionoftherefrigeratorislocatedinsidethe
backwalloftherefrigeratorcompartmentforincreasedspace
andimprovedaesthetics.Duringoperation,thebackwallwill
becoveredinfrostorwaterdropletsdependingonwhether
thecompressorisoperatingorpaused.Donotworry,the
refrigeratorisfunctioningnormally.
Freezer Compartment
Whentheproductisswitchedonthefreezercompartmentisset
toits default value of -18°C. We recommend that the SUPER
FREEZE * function is set (the freezer status barcontinues to
displaythesetvalue)inordertoacceleratethecoolingprocess
ofthe compartment; when the inside of the compartment has
reacheditsoptimaltemperaturethefunctionwillbedeactivated
andthefoodmaybeplacedinside.
AIR *
Itisrecognizableduetothepresenceofthemechanismonthe
toppartoftherefrigeratorcompartment(seediagram).

AIR maximises air circulation, improvingthe efficiency of the
evaporatorandhelpingtoachievetheoptimaltemperatureinside
therefrigeratoras quickly as possible eachtime it has been
opened.Theblownair(A)iscooledwhenitcomesintocontact
withthecoldwall,whereasthehotterair(B)issuckedup(see
diagram).
ACTIVE OXYGEN *
Thisdevice releases ozone molecules inside the refrigerator;
ozoneis a natural substancewhich combats bacteria and
microorganisms,reducing their proliferation whilelimiting
unpleasantodours.
Automaticallydefinestheamountofozonerequiredforprolonging
thefreshnessoffoodstuffs,eliminatingodoursand preventing
bacteriabuild-up.
Theremaybeaslightdistinctive odourinsidetherefrigerator.
Theverysamesmellcansometimesbedetectedduringastorm,
duetotheozoneproducedasthechargeinthelightningbolts
isreleased;thisiscompletelynormal.Theamountproducedby
thedeviceisverysmallandabatesquicklyastheantibacterial
actiontakesplace.
Deviceisactivatedpressingthededicatedswitchlocatedinright
sideoftheOxigendevice.
Withthe Active Oxigen switchedon, the device will operate
arepeted cycle until thekey is pressed again. There will be
anOzone emission noticed bythe switching on ofthe green
ledlocated on the Active Oxigen device located in the fridge
compartmentandastand-bycicle(withoutzoneemission)noticed
bybluelight.
