Raising Vehicle

Removal of the front sway bar should be done at ride height, so it is recommended that the

vehicle be raised by a flat alignment style rack, or place the front of the vehicle on ramps and

securely block the rear wheels.

Remove Front Splash Shield

Remove the splash shield and note the orientation of the sway bar.

3F 4F Detach End Links Loosen and remove the lower end link nuts from both sides, and push links aside. Unbolt Sway Bar Bushing Brackets Remove the bolts that attach the sway bar bushing bracket to the sub frame, and remove the bushings.

5F Remove the Bar from Vehicle The sway bar should be completely free from the vehicle and may be removed.

6F Lube Bushings 7F Mounting Bushing Brackets Use provided grease to lube the provided polyurethane bushing and slide it on the bar. Mount the sway bar to the vehicle by using the brackets over the bushing per the following photos.

8F Attaching End Links Attach the end links to both sides and apply thread lock and tighten end link hardware.

9F Double Check Hardware 10F Reattach Splash Shield Make sure all hardware is fully tightened before driving the vehicle.

Installation of Hotchkis Rear Sway Bar 1R 2R Raising Car Removal of the rear sway bar should be done at ride height, so the vehicle must be raised by a flat alignment style rack, or place the rear of the vehicle on ramps and securely block the front wheels. Detach End Links Loosen and remove the lower end link nuts from both sides, and push links aside.

3R Undo the Sway Bar Bushing Bracket Bolts 4R Lube Bushings Loosen and remove the sway bar bushing bracket bolts. There are 2 triple square bolts per bracket. Once the bolts are removed, the bar should be loose from the vehicle. Use provided grease to lube the provided polyurethane bushing and slide it on the bar.

5R Mounting Bushing Brackets Mount the sway bar to the vehicle by using the brackets over the bushing per the following photos.

6R Attaching End Links 7R Double Check Hardware Attach the end links to both sides and apply thread lock and tighten end link hardware. Make sure all hardware is fully tightened before driving the vehicle. You are done with the installation. The vehicle does not require an alignment after this installation.
