2. Bin Control Cleaning
Scale may build up on BC. Scale can cause the actuator paddle and magnet to stick. In
this case, BC should be cleaned.
1) Turn off the power supply and clear any ice away from BC.
2)Removethefrontandtoppanels,thenmovethecontrolswitchtothe"OFF"position.
3) Remove the control box cover.
4) Disconnect BC connector from CB K4 (red) connector.
5) Remove BC insulation. Remove BC cover thumbscrews, then lift BC assembly out of
the icemaker. See Fig. 3.
6) Remove BC from the extension bracket.
7)WipedownBCassemblywithamixtureof1partHoshizaki"ScaleAway"and25parts
warm water. Rinse the parts thoroughly with clean water.
8) Reassemble BC assembly and replace it in its correct position.
Note: If the magnet was removed for cleaning, be sure to replace it in its correct
position.
9) Reconnect BC connector to CB K4 (red) connector.
10) Replace the control box cover in its correct position.
11)Movethecontrolswitchtothe"ICE"position.
12) Replace the panels in their correct positions.
13) Turn on the power supply to start the automatic icemaking process.
