5) Freeze Cycle – LED 1 is on. Comp, FMR, and PM remain energized (PM power
supply switches from CB K1 connector pin #5 (DBU wire) to CB K1 connector pin
#4(Rwire). LLVs energize. HGVs and X10 relay de-energize. CB 5-minute short cycle
protection timer prevents CB from monitoring F/S for the rst 5 minutes of freeze. After
the 5-minute short cycle protection timer terminates, CB turns freeze termination over
to F/S. Diagnosis: Check that Comp, FMR, and PM remain energized. Conrm that
evaporator temperature drops. Ifnot, conrm that LLVs are energized and open. If not,
check for 115VAC at CB K1 connector pin #3 (BK wire) to a neutral (W wire). Check that
WV and HGVs are de-energized and closed (not leaking by). Next, conrm proper unit
pressures and TXV operation, check for an inoperative HM or an inefficient Comp. After
5 minutes in freeze, disconnect black F/S connector from CB K5 (black) connector. After
a 15second delay, the unit should switch out of the freeze cycle. If the unit switches out
of freeze with F/S connector removed, but would previously not switch out of freeze with
F/S connected (long freeze - 3 beep alarm), F/S may be sticking. To check and clean
F/S,see"IV.D.FloatSwitchCheckandCleaning."Iftheunitremainsinfreezelonger
than 15seconds after disconnecting CB K5(black) connector, replace CB. For short
freeze cycle, check that water tank is full at beginning of freeze, that check valve, drain
plug, and overow pipe are not leaking.
Note: Normal freeze cycle will last 20 to 40 minutes depending on model and conditions.
Cycle times and pressures should follow performance data provided in this
manual.See"III.C.PerformanceData."
6) Pump-Out Cycle – (10/20 second pump-out) – LEDs 1, 3, and 2 are on. LED 4 is on
whenS4dipswitch3&4aresetto3offand4on.Fordetails,see"II.C.3.c)Pump-Out
Timer(S4dipswitch3&4)."NOTICE! Do not adjust S4 dip switch 3 & 4 to 3 off and
4 on. Adjustment to this position on this model prevents the pump motor from
rotating in the pump-out (reverse) direction. Comp and FMR remain energized,
HGVs energize. LLVs de-energize. PM de-energizes for 2 seconds, then energizes in
reverse direction for 10seconds. When the pump-out timer terminates, pump-out is
complete. The pump-out timer is factory set for 10 seconds and the pump-out frequency
is factory set for every 10th cycle, and generally no adjustment is required. However,
where water quality is bad and the icemaker needs a longer and/or more frequent
pump-out, the pump-out timer and pump-out frequency control can be adjusted. The
pump-out timer (S4 dip switch 3 & 4) can be set to have a 10 or 20 second pump-out.
Fordetails,see"II.C.3.c)Pump-OutTimer(S4dipswitch3&4)."Thepump-out
frequency control (S4dip switch5&6) can be adjusted as shown in the table below.
Timing of the rst pump-out is dependent on S4 dip switch 5 & 6settings. See the table
below.
