C. Diagnostic Charts
1. No Ice Production
Problem Possible Cause Remedy

The icemaker will not
start. (Fill Cycle)
a) Power Supply . Off, blown fuse, or
tripped breaker.
. Turn on, replace, or reset.

Loose connection. . Tighten.
3. Bad contacts. 3. Check for continuity and
replace.
4. Not within
specications.
4. Refer to nameplate and
correct.
b) Water Supply . Water supply off or
pressure too low.
. Check and get
recommended pressure.
c) Power Switch
(Control Box)
. "OFF" position. . Move to "ON" position.

Bad contacts. . Check for continuity and
replace.
d) Door Switch . Door switch not
engaged.
. Engage door switch.
.
Bad contacts. . Check for continuity and
replace.
e) Power Protect Relay . Voltage not within
specications.
. Refer to nameplate and
correct.
.
Bad contacts. . Check for continuity and
replace.
f) Transformer . Coil winding open. . Replace.
g) Fuses () . Blown. . Check for short circuit and
replace.
h) Control Switch . "OFF" or "DRAIN"
position.
. Move to "ICE" position.

Bad contacts. . Check for continuity and
replace.
i) Water Control Relay . Bad contacts. . Check for continuity and
replace.

Coil winding open. . Replace.
j) Inlet Water Valve . Mesh lter or orice
clogged.
. Clean.
.
Coil winding open. . Replace.
3. Wiring to inlet water
valve.
3. Check for loose or open
connection. Repair or
replace.
k) Float Switch . Bad contacts. . Check for continuity and
replace.

Float does not move
freely.
. Clean or replace.
l) Bin Control . Open. . Bin full, check for
continuity on proximity
switch.

Actuator sticking. . Adjust or replace.
