THIS PRODUCT IS INTENDED FOR HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY. IF USED COMMERCIALLY WARRANTY IS VOID. WARNING: TO REDUCE THE RISK OF FIRE, ELECTRIC SHOCK OR INJURY: • Fully assemble before operating. • Operate steam cleaner only at voltage specified on data label on back of steam cleaner.
• Only use water to refill the water tank. Do not use any type of chemicals or additives in the water tank. • Do not add descaling, aromatic, alcoholic products, cleaning solutions, scented perfumes, oils or any other chemicals to the water used in this steam cleaner as this may damage the steam cleaner or make it unsafe for use. While this Steam Mop is designed for tap water, to increase effectiveness of the steam and to avoid build up of minerals, you may use distilled water to fill Steam Mop.

Attach handle: 1 Insert the body into the floor head until it clicks into place. 2 Insert the handle until it clicks into place. 3 To stand steam mop upright, push handle down until clicks into place.
Cord storage: Attach microfiber pad: ! WARNING ! To reduce the risk of personal injury Unplug the steam cleaner when assembling the accessories. • IMPORTANT • Never use the steam mop without the microfiber pad correctly attached to the mop head. 1 5 The “Multi-Surface Microfiber Pad” can be used on all sealed hard floor surfaces as well as carpet. When using on carpet the carpet glider attachment should be utilized as directed in the “Refreshing Carpet” section of this manual.

Before you begin cleaning: Filling the twin tanks ! WARNING • IMPORTANT • DO NOT ADD SOLUTION TO WATER TANK. NOTE: When the tank is turned upright it may allow a few drops to drip from cap. This is normal. ! To reduce the risk of personal injury Unplug the steam cleaner when filling the water and solution tanks. Do not use hot or boiling water to fill water tank. Solution Water • IMPORTANT • DO NOT MIX HOOVER® 4X STEAM MULTI-FLOOR CLEANING SOLUTION WITH ANY OTHER CLEANING SOLUTION.
4 Twist the solution cap counter-clockwise to remove. 5 Pour solution to the solution fill line. Then fill remainder with water: See tank fill lines for reference. 6 Before replacing the twin tank, make sure the hard water filter is in place. 7 Align the twin tank and push until it clicks into place.
• IMPORTANT • • Please refer to floor manufacturer’s care recommendations before use and test the steam mop on a discrete area of flooring to begin with. • When using the steam mop, basic safety precautions should always be observed. • Don’t aim the steam mop at people, animals, plants and electrical components such as interior of ovens or wires. Never touch the steam spray or floor head from a short distance.
* WH20400 * * WH20400 1 Plug into outlet and slide switch to ON (I=ON) position. The blue light will illuminate to show power on. The green light will illuminate to show the steam mop is ready to use. To turn OFF slide switch to OFF (O=OFF) position. WH20420 Plug into outlet and slide switch to ON (I=ON) position. The red light will illuminate to show power on. The blue light will replace the red light to show the steam mop is ready to use. To turn OFF slide switch to OFF (O=OFF) position.
TO SANITIZE HARD SURFACES Select the "STEAM ONLY" setting. Connect the microfiber pad and run a minimum of 6 strokes at a medium pace (5-7 seconds per 32" stroke) across same area. Allow to dry. 4 11 To produce steam, squeeze the trigger. To prevent over-wetting floors, avoid holding the trigger continuously. 5 Move the steam mop slowly back and forth across the floor paying particular attention to high traffic areas. Squeeze/release trigger as required.
! Refreshing carpets: WARNING ! Do not clean over floor electrical outlets. Do not use steam cleaner or press the Steam Trigger without water in the water tank. • IMPORTANT • When using on carpets, always ensure the multi-surface microfiber pad and carpet glider are properly attached to the mop head. WH20400 7 Place the microfiber pad on the floor white side facing up. Place steam mop onto pad making sure the entire pad covers the floor head.
11 To produce steam, squeeze the trigger. To prevent over-wetting floors, avoid holding the trigger continuously. 13 12 Move the steam mop slowly backwards and forwards across the floor. 13 To release carpet glider, push down on clip with foot and lift the steam mop.
Using tile and grout scrub brush and SteamStream™: ! WARNING ! Do not clean over floor electrical outlets. Do not use steam cleaner or press the Steam Trigger without water in the water tank. ! WARNING ! Scrub brush bristles may damage wood floors. • IMPORTANT • Always switch off the steam mop before attaching or removing the floorhead. • IMPORTANT • Scrub brush only recommended for tile and grout cleaning only.
Maintenance: Emptying the twin tank If steam cleaner is not working as it should, has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or dropped into water, call Customer Service at 1-800-944-9200 for further instruction before continuing use. This steam cleaner contains no user serviceable parts. Do not try to repair it yourself. • IMPORTANT • Allow the steam mop to fully cool down before performing any maintenance or troubleshooting checks. • IMPORTANT • Never use bleach or fabric softener when washing the pad.
Removing cleaning pads ! WARNING ! To reduce the risk of personal injury Unplug steam mop before servicing and allow to cool. • IMPORTANT • Never use bleach or fabric softener when washing the pad. 4 Hold corner of pad down and lift steam mop to peel away. 5 All cleaning pads are machine washable on WARM setting. For best results lay flat to dry. Allow to fully dry before use.
Replacing the hard water filter ! WARNING • IMPORTANT • ! To reduce the risk of personal injury Unplug steam mop before servicing and allow to cool. 1 Remove the twin tank to access the hard water filter. 2 Lift to remove the hard water filter. 3 The condition of the filter affects the performance of your machine. Check and change filter (depending on level of use and water conditions in your area). Do not operate steam mop without water filter in place. New filter has a (beige/ cream color).
! Clearing Blockages 1 If there is an obstruction to the steam flow through the machine, steam may be released through the bleed valve. WARNING ! To reduce the risk of personal injury Unplug steam mop before servicing and allow to cool. 2 To remove the floorhead from the body, push the plastic clip and lift. 3 After the floor head is removed, use a thin object such as a paper-clip (in the area shown), to remove the blockage.

Rangement du cordon :Fixer le tampon en microfibres : 1 Enrouler le cordon autour des crochets du dispositif de dégagement du cordon. ! AVERTISSEMENT ! Pour réduire les risques de blessures, débrancher le balai à vapeur lors de la fixation des accessoires. • IMPORTANT • Ne jamais utiliser le balai à vapeur sans que le tampon en microfibres soit adéquatement fixé à la tête du balai. Avant de commencer le nettoyage : • IMPORTANT • NE PAS AJOUTER DE SOLUTION NETTOYANTE AU RÉSERVOIR D'EAU. NOTA : Lorsque le réservoir est en position verticale, il se peut que quelques gouttes s'échappent du couvercle. Cela est normal. Llene los tanques dobles ! AVERTISSEMENT ! 2 Pour incliner le balai à vapeur, poser le pied ici et tirer le manche vers l'arrière. 3 Pour vaporiser vos planchers sans solution nettoyante, sélectionner l'option Steam Only (vapeur seulement). Pour vaporiser les planchers AVEC solution nettoyante, sélectionner Tile (carreau), Vinyl (vinyle) ou Wood (bois). 4 Pour produire de la vapeur, appuyer sur le déclencheur. Ne pas maintenir le déclencheur enfoncé pour éviter de trop mouiller le plancher.
10 11 Pour incliner le balai à vapeur, poser le pied sur la tête du balai et tirer le manche vers l'arrière. 12 Pour produire de la vapeur, appuyer sur le déclencheur. Ne pas maintenir le déclencheur enfoncé pour éviter de trop mouiller le plancher. Déplacer lentement le balai à vapeur vers l’arrière et l’avant sur le plancher. 13 Pour dégager le patin à moquette, appuyer sur l'attache avec le pied et lever le balai à vapeur.
Entretien : Vidage du double réservoir • IMPORTANT • • IMPORTANT • Si le balai à vapeur ne fonctionne pas normalement, si on l'a fait tomber, s'il a été endommagé, laissé à l’extérieur ou immergé, communiquer avec le service à la clientèle au 1 800 9449200 pour obtenir de plus amples renseignements avant de poursuivre l'utilisation. Laisser le balai à vapeur refroidir complètement avant d'effectuer tout entretien ou vérification de dépannage.
Remplacement du filtre à eau dure ! 1 Retirer le double réservoir pour avoir accès au filtre à eau dure. ADVERTISSEMENT • IMPORTANT • ! Pour réduire les risques de blessure, débrancher le balai à vapeur avant d’en effectuer l’entretien et le laisser refroidir. 2 Lever le filtre à eau dure pour le retirer. L'état du filtre a une incidence sur le rendement de votre appareil. Vérifier et changer le filtre selon le niveau d'utilisation et les conditions relatives à l'eau dans votre région.

Para usar vapor, apriete el disparador. No mantenga apretado el disparador por mucho tiempo para que los pisos no se mojen demasiado. Limpieza de alfombras: ! ADVERTENCIA 43 Para usar el SteamStream™ por la boquilla frontal, presione el botón de SteamStream™ para activarlo y presione el disparador para liberar el vapor.
10 Para inclinar el trapeador de vapor coloque su pie sobre el cabezal para suelos y jale el mango hacia atrás. 11 Para usar vapor, apriete el disparador. Para evitar empapar la alfombra, evite apretar el disparador de forma continua. 12 Mueva el trapeador de vapor lentamente hacia atrás y hacia adelante sobre todo el piso. 13 Para retirar el deslizador para alfombras, presione el gancho hacia abajo con el pie y levante el trapeador de vapor.
