Clean water tank
[upper tank)
The clean water tank
(C) holds the water
that will either he
mixed with detergent
for cleaning the car-
pet or floor, or used
to rinse the carpet or
floor.
The detergent container (D) is permanently
attached to the water tank. It holds the
detergent that mixes with the water.
Cleaning Products
WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire and
electric shock due to internal component
damage, use only Hoover cleaning prod-
ucts intended for use with the appliance.
Below are some examples:

• Hoover Ultra
•Hoover Deep Cleansing
• Hoover Deep Cleansing Free
• Hoover Floor-to-Floor TM
• Hoover Second Nature TM Carpet

How to fill tanks

Unplug cleaner
from electrical
outlet.
To remove tank,
press down on tank
hand]e and pull
forward.
Fill tank (E) with
hot tap water.
CAUTION: Do not
fin with water
above 140"F (60"C).
Fill detergent
container (F) with
HOOVER Steam-
Vae TM detergent.
Fill detergent container with Hoover Carpet/Upholstery Detergent or
Hoover Hard Floor Cleaning Solution.
Do not use Hard Floor Cleaning Solution on carpet or upholstery. Do
not use any type of wax with your SteamVaU" cleaner. Rep]ace con-
tainer cap and tighten.
NOTE: Useonly HOOVERSteamVac TM detergents. They are specially
formulated for use with your SteamVaU_ cleaner. Non-Hoover clean-
ing solutions may harm the machine and void the warranty.
CAUTION: Detergents contain Anionic and Nonionic Surfactants. Avoid
contact with eyes and skin. In case of contact with eyes,flush with
cold water for 15 minutes. In case of contact with skin, wash with
water. If irritation persists,call a physician.
WARNING: Certain oxygenated-type cleaners,such as OxiClean* and
TuffOxi'* will damage your SteamVaeTM detergent container [A}, clean
water tank (B) or recoverytank it).
Useonly HOOVERSteamVacTM Oxy detergent for this purpose.
