3° Carpet Cleaner Basics
Fill the Solution Tank
Unplug cleaner from electrical outlet.,
t
Press button (A) and
remove solution tank.
Release latches (B)
on tank cap and
remove
Use cap on solution
tank to measure the
proper amount of
Hoover detergent
according to the
chart below,
Surface Amount of Detergent Type of' Detergent
Carpet Two [2) Caps Hoover Carpet/Upholstery Detergent
Upholstery One (I) Cap Hoover Carpet/Upholstery Detergent
For heavy traffic areas:
Pre-treat with Hoover Spot and Stain Spray
(available at additional cost if not included with your model)
OR
Use four {4) caps of C'arpet/Upholstery Detergent
NOTE: For best results, use onlyHoover detergents. They are specifically formulated for use with
your SteamVac TM Carpet Cleaner.
Pour detergent into
the tank°
Fill the tank to the fill
line [A) (Approx. 1 gal)
with hot tap water
Replace the cap,
Secure both latches
(B),

Place the bottom
of the tank into the
cteanen Pivot the top
of the tank and snap it
into place,
CAUTtON: Detergents contain Anionic and Nonionic Surfactants. Avoid contact with the eyes and
skin_ In case ofcontact with eyes, flush with cold water for 15 minutes° tn case ofcontact with
skin, wash with water, If irritation persists, call a physician.
