1. Wire the dry contact device to S1, S2, S3, or S4 termi-
nals at the EIM.
2. Enter Installer Setup (see “Installer Options” begin-
ning on page 21).
3. Dry Contacts are selected at ISU 6000. Select the
appropriate Dry Contact(s) and press Next.

4. Select the terminals wired to the Dry Contact device,
and press Next.

5. Select Normally Open or Normally Closed, and press
Next.
NOTE: For example, if a wet switch is normally
open, it will close when the device detects
water. If the wet switch is normally closed, it
will open when the device detects water.
Refer to the instructions packed with the dry
contact device to determine if it is normally
open or normally closed.

6. If you are creating a custom alert, type the alert
name into the text box and press Done. The alert
name is what appears on the Home screen when the
alert is detected. See Fig. 191. You can edit or con-
firm the alert name after you enter it.

7. Type the custom alert message into the text box and
press Done. The custom alert message appears
when the orange alert button is pressed. See Fig.
192. You can edit or confirm the alert message after
you enter it.
