Smart Home Base Station Placement Guide
Examples of good locations for placement of the C1 OR C2 Wi-Fi cameras are shown below.
Installation Notes
Ensure that electrical
power and a Wi-Fi
connection are available
when selecting the
location for the camera.
Select a location that
ensures the camera’s
wide angle viewing area
covers doors, windows
and other points of entry
such as stairwells.
A primary location should
face a point of entry such
as a front/back door or in
a location such as a foyer
or room that allows the
camera’s wide angle lens
to capture the entire room.
In order to prevent
frequent and unnecessary
motion alerts, avoid
pointing the camera
directly at televisions,
windows or portraits.
The C2’s viewing angle
can be tilted to provide
optimal coverage. This is
especially helpful when
the camera is wall-
mounted.
