Ribbon Removal
Remove used ribbon from the ribbon take-up hub when you change the roll of
ribbon. Remove the used ribbon each time you change a new roll of media if the
ribbon is less than the width of the printhead.
To remove the used ribbon:
1. Break/tear the ribbon before the ribbon take-up hub.
Note: Do not cut the ribbon on the ribbon take-up hub; doing so may result in damage to
the take-up hub.
2. Pull the ribbon release knob and slide the used ribbon from the ribbon take-up
hub.
Note: Do not pull the ribbon release knob if you do not want to remove the used ribbon as
this will cause difficulty to remove ribbon when full.
About Test Label
Print a test label after you have loaded media and ribbon to verify that you have
installed everything correctly and also to get some important information about
your printer.
The way you print a test label is slightly different between the full touch and the
icon printer. Please use the respective procedure for the printer.
