Then connect the cable to its appropriate terminals on SmartVFD HVAC/SmartDrive

HVAC AC drive standard terminal block, terminals A and B (A = negative, B = positive).

See figure below.

Using the cable clamp included in the delivery of the drive, ground the shield of the

RS485 cable to the frame of the AC drive.

NOTE! This can be done in all drives if there is no difference in PE potentialbetween the

drives. However, if there is PE potential difference then the shieldshould be connected to

PE only at one point in the system. The shields of thecables shall be joint but not con-

nected to several PE points with different poten-tial.

NOTE! This is only a principle drawing and the actual drive may look different.
