CLEANING AND
MAINTENANCE
CAUTION: Scalding Hazard.
Initial temperature of the drain water may be above 140°F (60°C) and can cause scalding injury.
Make sure the drain outlet is not exposed, and use caution when pressing the Drain button.
The Steam Humidier automatically ushes out the
water tank during the humidifying season. In the
automatic ush cycle, cold water enters the tank while
water is being emptied through the drain line. The
action of simultaneous lling and draining cools the
water to a safe draining temperature. It also dilutes
water hardness concentration to reduce mineral
deposits from forming in the tank.
At the end of the automatic ush cycle, the Steam
Humidier rells the tank with fresh water, and
automatically returns to normal operation.
Automatic ush is performed regularly, based on the number of hours that the Steam Humidier heats water and
produces steam. Automatic ush can be set to occur at any of the following intervals:
Your Professional Installer set the Steam Humidier to ush at the appropriate interval for your installation. During
any service call, the automatic ush interval can be changed, if desired.
What is the automatic ush cycle?
Autoush Intervals
12 hours (factory setting)
20 hours (when a water softener is installed)
30 hours (when a RO lter is installed)
