YOUR NEW
STEAM HUMIDIFIER
MCR35269
Your Steam Humidier installation includes the following parts and components that you should be familiar with:
A. Cold Water Connection with Shutoff Valve
Provides the connection from the Steam Humidier
to your home’s cold water pipe. Your Professional
Installer may have used the saddle valve that came
with the Steam Humidier, or may have chosen a
different type of connection. This connection must
include a shutoff valve for you to turn off water ow
to the Steam Humidier, if necessary.
IMPORTANT: the Steam Humidier requires cold
water. Do not connect a hot water supply to the
Steam Humidier.
B. Water Supply Line
This 1/4-inch line brings cold water to the Steam
Humidier from a water pipe in your home. Your
Professional Installer may have used the plastic
line provided or a copper pipe, as appropriate.
C. In-line Water Filter
It is likely the installer provided a water lter on the
water supply line leading to the Steam Humidier.
This helps minimize mineral deposits forming in the
Steam Humidier’s tank. For optimal performance,
replace this water lter once each humidication
season. See “How do I change the water lter?”
on page 19.
D. Shutoff Valve and Backow Preventer
This valve was provided by Honeywell and is
required by code. It prevents water from owing
backward in the water supply line.
E. Power Cord
The Steam Humidier is plugged into a 120 volt
AC household electrical outlet. The power cord
provided is 6 feet long.
