Room Sensors

INSTALLATION

H7012A Humidity and H7012B Humidity and Temperature

Room Sensors mount either directly to the wall using the

template (Fig. 1) or to a 2 in. x 4 in. electrical box using the

adapter (Fig. 2).

Mounting Directly to Wall

 Use the template (Fig. 1) or the sensor back to locate

and drill three screw holes. The Number 1 hole

locations are preferred.

 Drill the 1/2 in. (13 mm) or larger hole for the wiring

 Pull wires through hole and thread wires through

sensor back.

 Use three #8 screws to mount the sensor-back to the

wall. Use holes marked 1 or holes marked 2.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Mounting to 2 in. x 4 in. Electrical Box

 Feed wires through large opening at top of adaptor

plate.

 Use standard 6 x 32 electrical box machine screw to

mount adaptor plate.

 Feed wires through sensor back and use No. 8 sheet

metal screw to fasten sensor back to adaptor plate.

WIRING

Wiring Requirements

Use shielded twisted pair wires for sensor wiring. Ground

shield at the controller.

Maximum sensor wire length from sensor to controller: 660 ft

(200m).

Maintain 6 in. (150 mm) spacing between line voltage and

sensor wires.

Use separate transformers for sensor and controller(s).

Connections

Wire the sensor to the controller as shown in Fig. 3.
