A TAF is a statement of expected meteorological conditions at an
airport during a specified period of time.
A TAF contains elements in the following order:
• Type of report
• ICAO station identifier
• Date and time of issue
• Date and time valid
• Wind
• Visibility
• Weather phenomena
• Sky conditions
• Wind shear (as required)
• Forecast weather change indicator

A PIREP (Pilot Weather Report) is an observation of conditions at a
specific location or along a specific route. These conditions are
reported by pilots when communications are established with ground
facilities such as EFAS, AFSS/FSS, ARTCC or ATC.
