8 Installation Guidelines for 60 Hz Air-Cooled Generators

6. See Figure 2-3. Remove bolts and pallet brackets

(A). Exercise caution when removing the

generator. Do not drag unit off pallet. Doing so will

damage the base. The generator must be lifted

from the wooden pallet to remove.

NOTE: Bolts and pallet brackets are provided only for

shipping purposes and can be discarded after removal.

7. See Figure 2-4. Two locks (A) secure the lid; one

on each side. Press down on the lid above the side

lock, and unlock the latch to properly open the lid.

8. Repeat for the other side. The lid may appear stuck

if pressure is not applied from the top.

NOTE: Always verify side locks are unlocked before

attempting to lift the lid.

9. Remove front access panel by lifting it straight up

and out once the lid is open.

NOTE: See Figure 2-4.

Always lift the front access panel

straight up before pulling away from enclosure (B and C).

Do not pull the panel away from the enclosure before lifting

up (D).
