The Safety & Maintenance Guide and the separate User Manual are intended to provide you with important information needed to set up, operate, maintain and troubleshoot this product. USER TIPS What is Evaporative Cooling? Honeywell Evaporative Air Coolers are built to maximize energy efficiency and keep energy costs low. Warm air is drawn into the cooler and enters the Honeycomb Cooling Media.
COOLER LOCATION (CONTINUED) IMPORTANT: The evaporative air cooler is not an air conditioner as it does not use a compressor or refrigerant gas. It should not be expected to cool as efficiently as a refrigerated air conditioner. Outdoors (for outdoor models only) • Use only on GFCI Protected outlets/ sockets (for USA only). Press the TEST button (then RESET button) every month to ensure proper operation. • Power cords must be secured to avoid tripping.
SAFETY RULES (CONTINUED) • • • • • • • • • DO NOT leave the operating appliance unattended for an extended period of time. DO NOT allow children to play with this appliance, packaging or plastic bags. DO NOT continue to operate the unit if it is damaged or if it malfunctions. Refer to the TROUBLESHOOTING section and contact the CUSTOMER SUPPORT CENTER. Always place the unit on a dry level floor. DO NOT use in bathrooms or near water. DO NOT keep the product where it may fall into a water container.
TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE Customer Service Center: See the last page of the User Manual to find the contact details for the Customer Service Center for your area. PROBLEM No discharge of air. Not Cooling / Unit is making noise. Excessive humidity in the room. Odors. POSSIBLE CAUSE SOLUTION Cord is not plugged in. Make sure power cord is plugged in and the switch is ON. Power is not ON. Turn the unit ON by pressing the power button on the control panel or remote control. Pump is not turned ON.

Il ne faut pas s’attendre à ce qu’il rafraîchisse autant qu’un climatiseur réfrigérant. À l’extérieur (uniquement pour les modèles d’extérieur) • Utiliser uniquement avec des prises protégées par des disjoncteurs de fuite de terre.
RÈGLES DE SÉCURITÉ (SUITE) • • • • • • • • • NE PAS laisser l’appareil en marche sans surveillance durant une longue période. NE PAS permettre aux enfants de jouer avec cet appareil, son emballage ou les sacs en plastique. NE PAS continuer d’utiliser l’appareil s’il est endommagé ou ne fonctionne pas correctement. PROBLÈME Aucune évacuation d’air. Aucun refroidissement et l’appareil est bruyant. CAUSE POSSIBLE SOLUTION Le cordon n’est pas branché. S’assurer que le cordon d’alimentation est branché et que l’interrupteur est EN POSITION DE MARCHE. L’appareil n’est pas EN MARCHE.

TIPS VAN GEBRUIKERS Wat is verdamping-koeling? Honeywell lucht-verdamping-koelers zijn geconstrueerd om maximale energie-efficiëntie en lage energie-kosten te garanderen.
LOCATIE VAN DE KOELER (VERVOLG) BELANGRIJK: De Lucht-verdamping-koeler is geen air-conditioner vanwege het ontbreken van een compressor en koelmiddelen.Het apparaat mag niet vergeleken worden met de koel-capaciteit van een air-conditioner dat met koelmiddelen uitgerust is. Buiten (enkel voor modellen die geschikt zijn voor gebruik buiten) • Gebruik enkel stopcontacten die GFCI beschermd zijn (alleen voor de VS). Druk op de TEST-knop (toen RESET knop) maandelijks voor een goede werking.
VEILIGHEIDSREGELS (VERVOLG) • • • • • • • • • • • Plaats GEEN objecten in, en stel objecten niet in staat om ventilatie-openingen of uitlaat openingen te blokkeren. Gebruik NIET wanneer de Honeycomb Cooling Media verwijderd is, dit kan resulteren in overbelasting van- en schade aan de motor. Laat het apparaat NOOIT onbeheerd voor langere periodes. Stel kinderen niet in staat om met het apparaat, de verpakking of plastic tassen te spelen.
PROBLEEMOPLOSSING Klantenservice: Op de laatste pagina van de gebruikershandleiding vind u de contact informatie van de klantenservice in uw omgeving. PROBLEEM Geen luchtuitstoot. Geen koeling / het apparaat maakt een geluid. MOGELIJKE REDEN OPLOSSING Het apparaat is niet met een stroombron verbonden. Steek de stekker in het stopcontact en zet de toevoer knop op AAN. Power staat niet AAN. Zet het apparaat AAN door op het bedieningspaneel of op de afstandsbediening op de power-knop te drukken.
