SERVICING YOUR OUTBOARD MOTOR
SUSPENSION STRAP

Remove the engine cover (see
page ).
Looking through the translucent
strainer cup, check the fuel filter
for water accumulation and
clogging.
Remove the strainer assembly. If it
is difficult to remove the strainer
assembly by yourself, consult an
authorized Honda Marine dealer.
Remove the suspension strap from
the fuel filter bracket, and then
remove the strap from the fuel
filter assembly.
Before removing the fuel filter, to
prevent fuel leakage, place fuel
hose clips on the fuel hoses on
each side of the fuel filter.
Disconnect the fuel hoses from the
fuel filter.
If necessary, replace the fuel filter
with a new one.
