SERVICING YOUR TILLER
TRANSMISSION OIL LEVEL CHECK (USA model)
Check the transmission oil level with the tiller on a level surface and 
the engine stopped.
Make sure the area around the oil level check bolt is clean.
1. Remove the transmission oil level check bolt and sealing washer. 
Check the oil level. The oil should be level with the lower edge of the 
oil filler hole.
If the transmission oil level is low, add the recommended oil by the 
following procedure.
Disassembly
2. Move the choke lever to the CLOSED position.
If you try to remove the fan cover with the choke lever in the OPEN 
position, the choke rod may not come out of the choke rod hole, and 
the choke mechanism may be damaged.
