Drawers feature a welded construction with high drawer
sides, which accept hanging file folders without the need
for hangrails. Sides are welded to drawer front, the
bottom and the back. Drawer front includes a
polypropylene plastic filler enclosing the thumb latch
mechanism.
Drawer Function:
Drawers operate on a triple tied full cradle suspension
with ten nylon rollers, and 90% drawer extension.
Hardware:
Includes a bright aluminum drawer pull, thumb latch
button and label holder on each drawer front. Drawer pull
is 1-1/8” deep x 4-1/4” wide, attached at a 4” span. The
thumb latch is spring operated, and prevents drawers
from opening without activating the mechanism to release
the drawer. Label holder measures 3-7/16” W x 2” H
overall, with a viewable area of 2-3/4” W x 1-1/4” H.
Locking:
The included core removable lock is located in the right
front corner of the top. The lock utilizes a lock link which
activates a one piece lock bar, engaging all drawers on
the right side. HON “One Key” interchangeable cores may
be ordered separately to key units alike.
Follower:
Wire follower is construction of a .188” diameter steel rod
and is adjustable on 5/8” centers.

Technical Specifications
Features:
510 Series Vertical Files are available in a 2 or 4 drawer
configuration, in letter or legal width, and these cabinets
are 25” deep.
Construction:
The case top has welded seams on the front corners and
is welded to the back and sides. Vertical reinforcing
channels are formed to add strength and welded to sides,
two at the front and two at the rear. Formed horizontal
crossbar dividers are welded in place to each side,
between drawers. The single piece kickplate/corner
gusset is secured to sides by welds and structural
adhesive. A bottom rear reinforcing channel is welded to
the back and to the sides. Both the kickplate and rear
reinforcing channel wrap under the case for a sturdy
construction.
