Rafter Tie Installation

Hurricane Clip Installation

Step 123: Use remaining 79” wall studs as rafter ties. Install rafter ties using at least six 3-1/2” nails per

rafter tie as shown.

Note: Space rafter ties evenly throughout building.

Step 124: Install hurricane clips on each rafter as shown.

Note: It is very important to install the hurricane clips on each rafter, this greatly increases the

strength of the roof system.

Flower Hook Installation

Step 125: Install flower pot hooks where desired.
