3 Function and device overview

The Homematic IP Window Handle Sensor detects the

position of the window handle and recognises whether a

window is open, closed or tilted. The information is send

to the Homematic IP app and you are informed at any

time and from any place which windows are open, tilted

and closed.

The window handle sensor is ideal for use in connection

with alarm system functions, e.g. in combination with an

alarm siren. The device can also be used for controlling

the room climate. In combination with Homematic IP

Radiator Thermostats the room temperature is automati-

cally reduced as soon as a window is opened or tilted.

The sensor is battery operated and therefore requires no

additional wiring. It ﬁts to all standard window handles

and can be used with windows that are hinged on the

left or right. Thanks to its compact design the device is

restrained and inconspicuous and can be easily mounted

without damaging the window handle.

Thanks to the integrated tamper contact you are imme-

diately informed via the app about manipulations on the

device.
