Mounting

Mounting the device with adhesive strips is espe-

cially useful for installation in a door frame to

avoid damages on the door frame.

For installation of the device in the door frame it

has to be mounted in the side part of the frame.

To be able to use the entire scope of functions of

the passage sensor, horizontal mounting of the

device in a mounting hight of 80 to 120 cm is

recommended. However, operation of the de-

vice is not limited to this mounting height.

Triggering of the sensors by pets can be avoided

only in case of a mounting hight from at least

80cm.

You can use the passage sensor also in corridors

or staircases. Therefore, adjust the sensor pa-

rameters in the Homematic IP app or Homemat-

ic WebUI.

To reduce the risk of a false alarm being trig-

gered, the device must not be exposed to inci-

dent light e.g. caused by sunlight or car head-

lights, nor must it be mounted in the vicinity of a

heat source (above a radiator, for example).
