3 Function and device overview
The Homematic IP Light Sensor measures brightness
(in lux) and is suitable for outdoor areas. The measured
values are transferred cyclically to the Homematic IP
Access Point as well as to the Homematic IP app. The
values can be individually analysed.
In connection with other Homematic IP devices, the
light sensor oers a large number of applications. For
example, lights are switched on during darkness or
shutters are moved down in case of strong brightness.
Thanks to the radio communication and battery
operation, the light sensor is highly flexible where
mounting and selecting a mounting location are
concerned. Mounting is particularly easy using the
screws and plugs supplied. The device can also be used
as standing unit.
