5.3 Screw mounting
For mounting the passage sensor using screws and plugs,
please proceed as follows:
• Choose a desired site for installation.
Make sure that no electricity or similar lines run in the
wall at this location!
• Slightly press the catch of the device and remove the
electronic unit (A) from the cover (E) (see fig. 3).
• Remove the batteries from the battery compartment
(C).
• Use a pen to mark the positions of the four bore holes
of the passage sensor to the wall (see fig. 4).
• Use an appropriate drill to make the holes as illustrated.
If you are working with a stone wall, drill 5mm holes
and insert the plugs supplied. If you are working with a
wooden wall, you can pre-drill 1.5mm holes to make
screws easier to insert.
• Use the screws and plugs supplied to fasten the pas-
sage sensor (see fig. 5).
• Re-insert the batteries into the battery compartment
making sure that they are right way around (see fig. 6).
• Do not yet place the cap (E) .
