Interpreting Network Status Lights
My indicator light is flashing slowly.
A problem is indicated when you have one or both lights
flashing slowly. The type of problem is designated by the
number of times a light flashes in a period of seven seconds. In
each seven-second period, there is a two-second period where
no light flashes. The table below describes the problems that
are indicated for each light flashing sequence:
I typed in the IP address for TransPort, but the Network
Managment Console does not open.
Make sure that you are using the correct IP address. The
default IP address is http://192.168.0.1. If you have changed
the IP address, you must use the new address.
If you use a proxy server to connect to the Internet, you must
enable your browser to bypass the proxy server for a local
address (TransPort’s IP address). In Internet Explorer, click
Internet Options in the Tools menu. Click the Connection tab
and then the LAN Setting button. Click the box for Bypass
proxy server for local addresses. Click OK twice.
In Netscape, click Preferences in the Edit menu. In Categories,
click Proxies under the Advanced option. Click Manual proxy
configuration and then click View. Type in the Exceptions box,
---. click OK.
