Assembly 1 Screwing the cam bolts NOTE: Do not fully tighten all bolts until you finish assembling all parts. Once assembled, go back and fully tighten all bolts. This will make the assembly easier. □ □ Unpack the unit and confirm that you have all the hardware and required parts. Assemble the unit on a carpeted floor or the empty carton to avoid any scratches.
Assembly (continued) 3 Assembling the cam bolts and magnetic catches □ □ Securely screw the cam bolts (CC) into the designated plastic bushings on the center shelf (B) on both sides. Align two magnetic catches (EE) to the pilot holes on the center shelf (B) with the magnetic plates facing the finished edge. Then attach the magnetic catches (EE) in place using two pan head screws (DD) per catch.
Assembly (continued) 5 □ Installing the bottom back stretcher Align and attach the bottom back stretcher (D) to the bottom panel (C) with four wood dowels (AA) and four cam locks (BB). Assembly (continued) 7 □ Attaching the bottom panel assembly Glue four wood dowels (AA) into the inner holes of the lower partition panels (H and I) and attach them to the bottom panel (C) with four long wood screws (JJ). Assembly (continued) 9 □ □ Installing the center shelf Glue ten wood dowels (AA) into the top inner holes of the previous assembly. Ask for assistance to position the center shelf (B) onto the inserted wood dowels (AA). Attach the center shelf (B) in place by engaging eleven cam locks (BB).
Assembly (continued) 11 Attaching the top panel □ Glue eight wood dowels (AA) into the top inner holes on the upper side panels (M and N) and partition panels (O and P). Position the top panel (A) onto the inserted wood dowels (AA) and fasten it in place with eight cam locks (BB). N A P O M 12 Attaching the bottom front molding □ □ Align and attach the bottom front molding (E) to the lower side panels (F and G) with four medium wood screws (KK).
Assembly (continued) 13 □ Installing the metal plates Flip the assembled unit around at its front edges. Fasten the middle crossbar (S) to the middle stiles (T) by attaching two metal plates (PP) at the joints, using two short wood screws (HH) in each, as shown. HH PP H S I 14 □ □ Attaching the back panels Pick up the upper back panel (R) and align the pre-drilled holes against the upper long edge with the pilot holes on the back stretcher of the top panel (A).
Assembly (continued) 15 □ □ □ Attaching the adjustable shelves and cam lock covers Stand the unit upright. Insert four shelf pins (MM) into the desired holes inside each side compartment. Tilt and rest the adjustable shelves (Q) onto the shelf pins (MM) and secure in place with the short wood screws (HH). Plug the cam lock covers (LL) onto the visible cam locks to conceal the cams.
Assembly (continued) 17 Installing the drawers □ To insert the drawers (U) into the frame, extend the ball bearing slide tracks on the upper side panels (M and N) and partition panels (O and P) all the way forward (including ball bearing cart). Align the slide runners on the drawers (U) with the slide tracks, and then push the drawer carefully inside until it stops. NOTE: If a drawer does not go in smoothly, please take it out and repeat the step.
Assembly (continued) 19 Attaching the L-shaped metal braces □ Using the pilot holes as a guide, align and attach two L-shaped metal braces (FF) to the bottom panel (C) by screwing one washer head screw (II) in each. II FF 20 □ □ Installing the acrylic stopper Remove the paper backing of the acrylic stopper (QQ). Then properly align the acrylic stopper into the cut-out on the acrylic stopper template on the front of the top panel (A). Press down on the acrylic stopper to help adhesion.
Assembly (continued) 21 Installing the tipping restraint hardware WARNING: Young children can be seriously injured by tipping furniture. You must install the tipping restraint hardware with the unit to prevent the unit from tipping, causing any accidents or damage. The tipping restraints are intended only as a deterrent, they are not a substitute for proper adult supervision. The tipping restraints are not earthquake restraints.
Care and Maintenance A Touch-up Pen has been provided to repair any small nicks or scratches that may occur during assembly or shipping. To clean and care for your furniture: □ □ □ □ □ □ □ □ □ □ Use a soft, clean cloth that will not scratch the surface when dusting. Use of furniture polishes is not necessary. Should you choose to use polishes, test first in an inconspicuous area. Using solvents of any kind on your furniture may damage the finish.
