Assembly 1 Screwing the cam bolts NOTE: Do not fully tighten all bolts until you finish assembling all parts. Once assembled, go back and fully tighten all bolts. This will make the assembly easier. □ □ Unpack the unit and confirm that you have all the hardware and required parts. Assemble the unit on a carpeted floor or the empty carton to avoid any scratches.
Assembly (continued) 3 □ □ Attaching the cam bolts and magnetic catches Flip the center shelf (B) aroung and securely screw the cam bolts (BB) into the designated small holes using a Phillips screwdriver. Align two magnetic catches (MM) to the pilot holes on the center shelf (B) with the magnetic plates facing the finished edge. And then attach the magnetic catches (MM) in place using two washer head screws (HH) per catch.
Assembly (continued) 5 □ Attaching the center crossbar assembly Align and attach the center crossbar assembly to the center shelf (B) with two long wood dowels (CC) and three cam locks (AA). I CC AA B 6 □ Installing the upper side panels Glue four long wood dowels (CC) into the inner holes drilled on the top edge of upper side panels (M and N) and attach them to the top panel (A) by engaging four cam locks (AA). Assembly (continued) 7 □ □ Installing the center shelf assembly Glue four long wood dowels (CC) into the inner holes at the bottom edge of upper side panels (M and N). Properly position the center shelf (B) onto the inserted wood dowels (CC) and secure in place by engaging four cam locks (AA). Assembly (continued) 9 □ □ Attaching the lower back panels Glue two long wood dowels (CC) into the inner holes of the left lower side panel (S). Align and attach the left lower back panel (Q) to the left lower side panel (S) with two long screws (EE). Repeat the same procedure to combine the right lower back panel (T) and the right lower side panel (V) together.
Assembly (continued) 11 □ □ Attaching the middle stiles Fasten one middle stile (J) to the left lower side panel (S) with two long wood dowels (CC) and two cam locks (AA). Repeat the same procedure to combine the other middle stile (J) and right lower side panel (V) together. Assembly (continued) 17 Attaching the bottom front molding assembly □ Align and attach the assembled bottom front molding (E) to the bottom side moldings (K and L) and the bottom panel (C). Using the pilot holes as guide, fasten six corner connectors (OO) at the bottom joints using two pan head screws (II) per connector. Tighten all screws with a Phillips screwdriver. Assembly (continued) 19 □ Attaching the back panel Pick up the back panel (F) and align the drilled holes against the upper long edge with the pilot holes on the back stretcher of the top panel (A). Attach the back panel (F) in place using the provided washer head screws (HH). L F HH 20 Attaching the bottom pivot hinges □ □ Using the pilot holes as a guide, attach the left bottom pivot hinge (QQ) to the left door (O) with two short wood screws (GG) as shown.
Assembly (continued) 21 Installing the left door □ □ □ □ Stand the assembled unit upright. Tilt and insert the pivot pin of pivot hinge (QQ) under the left door (O) into the plastic bushing pre-attached on the bottom panel (C). Attach the left upper pivot hinge (RR) to the plastic bushing pre-attached on the center shelf (B) as shown. Make sure that the pivot hinge mounting plate will face inward.
Assembly (continued) 23 Installing the adjustable shelves and cam lock covers □ Open the doors (O and P) and insert four shelf supports (KK) into the desired holes inside each side compartment. Make sure you place the four shelf supports in the same level so the shelf is not tilted. Rest the adjustable shelves (W) onto the shelf supports (KK). □ Plug the cam lock covers (JJ) onto the visible cam locks to conceal the cams.
Assembly (continued) 25 Installing the fireplace insert □ Lift the fireplace insert carefully into the back of the assembled mantel and center it in the opening. DO NOT drag the insert across the bottom panel (C) as it may scratch the unit. C Electric Firebox 26 Attaching the L-shaped metal braces □ Using the pilot holes as a guide, align and attach two L-shaped metal braces (SS) to the bottom panel (C) by screwing one pan head screw (II) in each. Assembly (continued) 27 Installing the acrylic stopper □ □ Remove the paper backing of the acrylic stopper (VV), then properly align the acrylic stopper into the cut-out on the acrylic stopper template on the front of the top panel (A). Press down on the acrylic stopper to help adhesion. At the back of the top panel (A), carefully pull out the thumb tacks to remove the acrylic stopper template.
Care and Maintenance A Touch-up Pen has been provided to repair any small nicks or scratches that may occur during assembly or shipping. To clean and care for your furniture: □ Use a soft, clean cloth that will not scratch the surface when dusting. □ Use of furniture polishes is not necessary. Should you choose to use polishes, test first in an inconspicuous area. □ Using solvents of any kind on your furniture may damage the finish.
