Floor & Tub Caulk Strip
Eliminate the need for messy tubes or caulk guns. Our easy to use mildew resistant caulk strips simply press into place.
The caulk strips perform as caulk would creating an attractive clean finish that seals out moisture between surfaces.
DIRECTIONS: For proper adhesion, please follow the instructions carefully.
SURFACE PREPARATION: Preparing the surface is critical to successful adhesion of the caulk strip. Before you begin,
all loose and protruding silicone or other types of caulk must be removed. Paint thinner or mineral spirits can be used to
soften caulk prior to removal. Thoroughly clean the surface with scouring powder to remove all residues, and then rinse
with water. Complete surface preparation by wiping previously caulked areas with rubbing alcohol. IMPORTANT! Be
sure to dry all surfaces thoroughly before caulk strip installation since humidity will affect the adhesion.
CAULK STRIP PREPARATION: The total application will consist of one long strip. The strip has a score line on the front
and two individual lines of adhesive (top and bottom) with a plastic film covering on the back. NOTE: Be sure the caulk
strip does not get wet during application. Pre-bend the caulk strip by folding it at the score line to form a 90° angle.
TIPS: During installation, always keep strip folded against surface at a 90° angle. • Work carefully to avoid having to
reposition the strip once adhered. • Smooth and press firmly during installation to bond adhesive to the surface.
• Avoid stretching or pulling product during installation.
APPLICATION: 1. Without removing film backing, place one end of the pre-bent strip in the corner where the floor
meets the tub. 2. Peel a small section of the film backing from the top half of the strip. Starting at the corner of the tub,
press the top half of strip firmly to the tub surface, working in small sections at a time. DO NOT stretch, pull or rub hand
along strip while applying. 3. Continue to slowly pull off film while pressing the strip firmly to the tub surface until the
entire top half of the strip is adhered. Leave 1" excess material at the end in case of shrinking. 4. Start at the corner
and repeat the above process to install the bottom half (floor portion) of the strip. 5. Complete installation by pressing
fingers firmly over the caulk strip to ensure a water-tight adhesion. AVOID water contact with caulk strips for 12 hours
following installation. After 12 hours, cut strip to size.

presión en su lugar y funciona como lo hace la masilla de calafateo entre superficies y crea un acabado limpio y atractivo que protege de la
humedad. INSTRUCCIONES: Para lograr una adhesión correcta, siga las instrucciones cuidadosamente. PREPARACIÓN DE LA SUPERFICIE: La
preparación de la superficie es fundamental para lograr una adhesión exitosa de la cinta para calafatear. Antes de empezar, debe retirar toda
silicona u otras masillas sueltas y sobresalientes. Puede usar disolvente de pintura o aguarrás mineral para suavizar la masilla antes de retirarla.
Limpie por completo la superficie con detergente en polvo para retirar todos los residuos y luego enjuague con agua. Para completar la preparación
de la superficie, limpie con alcohol de frotar las áreas ya calafateadas. ¡IMPORTANTE! Asegúrese de secar todas las superficies por completo antes
de instalar la cinta para calafatear, ya que la humedad afectará la adhesión. PREPARACIÓN DE LA CINTA PARA CALAFATEAR: Toda la aplicación
consistirá en una tira larga. La tira cuenta con una línea punteada en la parte frontal y dos líneas individuales de adhesivo (arriba y abajo) cubiertas
con una película plástica en la parte posterior. NOTA: Asegúrese de que la cinta para calafatear no se humedezca durante la aplicación. Dé un
doblado inicial a la cinta para calafatear, para ello pliéguela en la línea punteada hasta formar un ángulo de 90°. CONSEJOS: Durante la instalación,
siempre mantenga la cinta doblada pegada a la superficie, a un ángulo de 90°. • Trabaje con cuidado para evitar tener que cambiar el lugar de la
cinta después de adherirla. • Alise y presione firmemente durante la instalación para adherir el adhesivo en la superficie. • Evite estirar o jalar el
producto durante la instalación. APLICACIÓN: 1. Sin retirar la película de refuerzo, coloque un extremo de la cinta ya doblada en la esquina en
donde la bañera toca el piso. 2. Despegue una pequeña parte de la película de refuerzo desde la mitad superior de la cinta. Desde la esquina de la
bañera, presione firmemente la mitad superior de la cinta en la superficie de la bañera; trabaje pequeñas secciones por vez. NO estire, jale ni frote
con la mano a lo largo de la cinta cuando la aplique. 3. Siga retirando lentamente la película y presionando firmemente la cinta en la superficie de
la bañera hasta que toda la mitad superior de la misma esté adherida. Deje 2,54 cm de material en exceso en el extremo para compensar posibles
encogimientos. 4. Empiece en la esquina y repita el proceso anterior para instalar la mitad inferior (la parte de piso) de la cinta. 5. Para completar
la instalación, presione con los dedos firmemente sobre la cinta para calafatear para asegurar una buena adhesión impermeable. EVITE que las
cintas para calafatear entren en contacto con agua durante 12 horas después de la instalación. Pasadas las 12 horas, corte la cinta a la medida.
